This piece was started at the May Art Up Greenwood artwalk. John enjoys goading fellow artists into painting with him in his studio and during this time, Solace was a good sport and added in his trademark "Wanderer" character. After a month of working over the piece, John pulled out this colorful and unusual bird which he named after Solace. This piece is currently at Bherd Studios and can be seen at the upcoming July artwalk on Fri, July 9th from 6-9pm.

Weirdo & Joey Nix live mural at Nectar Lounge for A Family Affair

Last night was the big "Family Affair" event to kick off the Family Fortune brand newest line of tee's and hoodies. This event included everything from live mural work by Weirdo & Joey Nix (as seen above) to live music, belly dancing and (some hot exchanges of words with NY chicks!)

The Urban Presence opening was great and to those of you who made it out - thank you! To those of you who missed it, you're in luck - the show is up until Wed, December 23rd and it's an evolving show that will include some newly rotated in work all by the same fabulous artists.
