Whoa! Where did the time go? It always seems like time zips by so quick when you are getting ready for a show. With the tasks of getting the artwork together, prepping the walls, labeling everything correctly, and setting up the gallery, Michele and I didn't want anything to slip by.
Darin Shuler bringing the thunder as usual.
The show went very well! With artwork up stairs, four different galleries open down stairs, and a great vibe throughout the night, things went off with out a hitch.
Here is a round of close ups that I got that night. Nothing better than some one shoving a camera in your face and saying "This better be good."
Greg, John, Darin. 2008 EDGE Members
Brand Vibes with their group show.
Kate AKA Killa Bee's AKA KB's new place. I can't wait to see all the things that she has planned for her space.
Some drawing was going on outside. It's alway nice to see what people have up their sleave.

A couple days later I went to the Artist trust Annual BBQ. Hamburgers, Sausages, beans, watermelon, oh and the free beer didn't hurt either. But all in all it was a fun time. Seeing some friends I had not seen in a while, making some new contacts, and seeing these two perform their art. They had some crazy instruments and the women was belting out some amazing sounds.
Here was the crowd of Artist Trust Board memebrs, GAP Grant recipients, and past and present EDGE class members. (The Artist Trust)
After the BBQ it was off to the nearby Grey Gallery. This is where the visiting Greg Boudreau has his current show in the Capitol Hill area. The show is going to be up until the end of July. And as I was looking there was a handful of red dots (oh you got to love the red dots!). If you are interested in his work I'd go sooner rather than later.
Nick Brown & Greg Boudreau exiting Grey Gallery.
And just a heads up, if you are looking for some bling teeth, the Safeway on Greenwood and 87th is the place to go.
All in all it has been a crazy couple of weeks. I feel like so much has happened and what I am showing you is only a snippet of what really happened. Next up is Artopia which is happening on the 27th of June in Georgetown. If you haven't been to this event, this is the year you should go. Last year there where exhibits, power tool races, boothes of art, live painting, graffiti pieces being done, music being played, and more. I can't wait for that event to happen.

And our muse, our cat, was complaining that someone was trying to steal her thoughts so we had to create a little tin foil hat to put a stop to that.
Until next time.
